todd white 0 #1 Posted January 13, 2017 Hi guys! Has anyone fixed the gearbox on auger from leaking? mine leaks gear lube everywhere i park it. I see the gasket is available. WVHillbilly520H 10,369 #2 Posted January 13, 2017 aboard to , sorry but yes you have to basically tear completely apart and while your at it a good time to check and replace the bronze bushings on the auger shaft ends the bearings on the impeller shaft the gear/sprockets and chain on the impeller drive ect, as for the leak it's more than likely the 2 flat oring seals on the auger shaft in the gearbox than the gasket and the factory replacement isn't that good, as I did this rebuild in the fall of '15 I found some industrial seals/orings which I think are better, also there's bronze bushings in there too which may be worn as well, good luck,Jeff. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
