GT-1100 running problems.

Recommended Posts

Farmer Rich

Hey, New to the Forum, hope i am posting this i the right place...but i need help. So I have had my 1984 GT-1100 for many years, and have basically had no repairs other than tire replacement. But just as i was reveling about my good fortune, the fuel pump went...i bought a kit and got that going, but since then, i have issues in keeping it running. I cleaned the carb.....but now i have issues with the way the throttle/choke works. Starts up ok but will just stop especially when calling for more gas like when going up hill. I also changed the fuel filter. Will idle fine.

I guess i need advice on how to proceed in the trouble shooting process. thanks, Farmer Rich

Did you put the rod connected to the throttle on the carb in the correct hole?

Thanks Scotty and NEpuy. I will check the tank filter, and there is a good chance that i connected the linkage improperly. I am sure I can find a diagram. I will see how it goes and get back to you. thanks again, Rich
