fireman 1,021 #1 Posted November 27, 2015 My kid texted me at work today and sent me the following pictures. It belongs to his friends dad. His dad got it from his father. I'm trying to find out more. Not sure someone just stuck the sticker on the case or what. My son said there are no other data plates or labels besides what's in the pictures. Maybe from the Europe market. I've never seen a chain saw with that "L" logo.
Brian01 481 #2 Posted November 27, 2015 Not for sure but I think that's an old Sthil Lightening saw. I'm googling now...
Brian01 481 #3 Posted November 27, 2015 No such luck...tried googling the serial number, nothing. Looked through chainsaws images, nothing...very puzzling.

Brian01 481 #9 Posted November 27, 2015 Hmm never heard of such a thing....probably as good as a Homelite is why.
Sparky-(Admin) 19,546 #10 Posted November 27, 2015 So it must have been either sold at a WH dealer or serviced there...hence the sticker. Darn! Was hoping that Jeff's kid had discovered something new! Mike........

The older Homelite saws were just about as good as anything else made back in the day. There were quite a bit of professional loggers who used the larger Homelite saws. I have a few older Homelites in my collection and they are beasts...As far as the newer Homelites go... Brian01 481 #12 Posted November 27, 2015 Yes, some of the older ones were okay.
fireman 1,021 #14 Posted November 28, 2015 The Wheel Horse sticker on the case is from a local dealer that used to be a Wheel Horse Dealer (the same one Steve and I bought those 5 RJ's and parts from!). So it could be it just sold or serviced by them.
