more questions on my new c160

started it up and its running pretty rough so I'm looking for a carburetor rebuild kit and points and condenser but the Toro dealership is not much help anybody got any suggestions

Take all of the numbers off the engine to any GOOD small engine shop. They should be able to get you what you need.

NAPA is a good source for Kohler parts, give them a try.

eBay or Amazon is a good source for kits, points and condensers.

 

Just search for "K341 carburetor kit", "Kohler K-series points", and "Kohler K-series condenser"

 

NAPA Auto Parts should have them as well.

 

Clean the carburetor well, and don't forget to make sure that all the little holes in the main needle jet valve are clean, as well as the inside of the tube itself.  Rough running can also be a result of a worn throttle shaft. Kits also available to fix that.

I found carb stuff for a KT17 at a local place that sells higher end stuff, Echo, Stihl Scag and the like. I researched the numbers of the stuff I wanted first. It was in stock for not much more than I could have gotten it for from ebay
