500 Special

Recommended Posts

Hobby horses

A friend brought this by yesterday.  From what I have read on Red Square the first 500 Special had a H60  recoil start.  This one has a HH60 with recoil and electric start.  Looks to be fairly complete with the original seat.  The cushion is torn, but you can still see the wheel horse logo.  Thought  some of you might like pictures.  I'm more into the bigger HP tractors so I will sell or trade this one.

Like the one I have, that I cant get done. Lol

BUT,,,,,,,,,,and I am no expert. The motor "should be" a recoil start, period. Did not read anywhere of a electric start. The rumor says that MANY DEALERS changed engines to make the tractor more desireable and marketable. Its still sweet, and once done a beauty.

All the above, my humble comments. A great tractor.

that is not the correct seat either. a good shape correct seat can raise the value up to a few hundred dollars more.
