Triple400 13 #51 Posted October 10, 2014 Not sure about 3 treckies, but once i originally built the belt system linked them all together, it was then I found out the it was not gonna start. Starting 3 small engines was way too much to start with the rope pull or even pulling on 2 of the rope pulls at once. It was neccesary to get one engine(pony motor) to start, then engage a lever to start the other 2. The one 5hp engine does struggle for a bit to start the other 2. Once I finish this tractor, I will have a electric start to start the pony motor, which will them sart the other 2. so starting is alittle bit of a process, but seems to work just fine so far
AMC RULES 36,945 #52 Posted October 10, 2014 I would've had a video of the start up procedure had I known you were going to be so generous by putting fire in the hole for us. Half expected you to be bent out of shape because we were all over your tractor when you walked up. Actually wanted to apologize for our behavior, but really...you should take it as a compliment. Your Tri-Po 400 is an awesome build Ethan.
jetmandan 29 #53 Posted October 10, 2014 Sweet ride! Perfect job on the belt guard, even the primer on edge looks great Now take those too shiny & new looing engine cowlings, sand blast a little and plug them with a few bullet holes for effect Dan
Firpo701 407 #54 Posted October 10, 2014 Do you really think you can get three Teckies running at the same time. You might need a 20 Onan for a starter. And that's when the fight broke out!! Lol! :laughing-rolling:
