Jasen 10 #1 Posted August 31, 2014 I am in the process of buying tires for my 310-8. i am stuck with the 15x6.00-6 for the front because of the 37'' deck. my question is, what is the widest tire i can run on the rear of the 310-8 with the stock rims. Also, I am looking at the V61's for the front, are they a good tire? Thank you.
Sparky-(Admin) 19,546 #2 Posted August 31, 2014 An 8.5 tire would be best on your rear rims. You could go to a 9.5 but you may get some "ballooning". A 10.5 width tire is out of the question in my opinion. Mike........
Jasen 10 #3 Posted August 31, 2014 Thank you very much! I believe i am going to go with the DEESTONE 23x8.50-12 ag tires for the rear. Do any of you know if anyone makes an ag tire to fit the 6'' front wheels?
stratostar250 919 #4 Posted August 31, 2014 I run 23x8.00-12 carlisle all trails on mine, and have no problem. The 24 and 25 inch tires get really tight and too big to fit under the rear fender without modifying the back of the foot rests. and on the stock rims, I agree with what was said. 8.5 inches wide is prime, 9.5 would probably be okay, but the 10.5 will be too wide to fit on the stock rims. tbarnhart 240 #5 Posted September 1, 2014 The deestone ags run very small for their given size and many have been disappointed when they get them mounted. My brother put 8.50s on his sears tractor and they look small and narrow. I put the deestone 10.50s on my 160 and I think they look great and are a great replacement for the original 23x8.5x12 carlisle turfs. IMHO I would get the 10.50s if you are going deestone ags. Bowtiebutler956 had some great comparo pics in his 160 thread if you can find that.
