The 417A package #23 in the herd

Recommended Posts

Geno

I haven't been good at posting pics of what we bring home but am trying to do better.  Usually it's just the loaded trailer shots then we're off to get more.   :eusa-doh: I already posted #1 (dads) this one is #23.  Will do more as time allows.

This is last Wednesday's find from Georgetown, IN, only about 1 1/2 hours away.  We brought home a 417A with original WH cover, 2 extra wheels with lug tires, WH wheel weights, 48" deck, 48" plow, plow hookup on the tractor and an extra new mount, 50" mid mount grader blade, an EZ rake with an extra 3' x 5' leaf cart, a Brinley roller, and some extra parts and belts.  This was all one owner and we got the manuals and original tags + such as well.  Oh, and don't forget the 2 bottles of wine (last pic).    :laughing-rolling:

I think we're going to keep this one as the snow blower tractor and put the cab on it we got from Don in MD and the snow blower we got from Glenn in Jersey.  We had already restored the rear wheels before we took the pics.  :)

23? Is that all...... Just wondering if there is a record to be beat that I am unaware of ??? If so , I want in on it.  :ychain:  I am on the hunt for a 417 as well. Nice find. Looks great as far as cosmetics go.

Great find , I just picked up a 417A two weeks ago too but it has a differential problem . I will have to get some input when the time comes. Again Nice find, my wife would sell me if I went much more than the 8 I have now.

Gino, you must live right. Someone is guiding you to these tractors. The 417 is a great tractor and that one is a beauty.

That is Maxx.  It's the wood cutting and HD Horse hauler when the big trailer comes out.  We've started turning it into a Mad Max truck.   The headache rack and front bumper is done, we still have to do the side rails and back bumper.  Too many projects I tell you.   :eusa-doh:

I don't know about that.  :laughing-rolling:

Very nice score. I have what I consider to be a real nice 417 as well. It is by FAR the best tractor I've yet owned for cutting grass and other chores around the house, and I've owned em all. The Bow Tie ain't bad so long as its gas powered IMHO. Myself, I'd rather pimp in the Escalade!

I bought this package with intentions of selling the 417 but after seeing what it is it became a keeper.  :)

Maxx is powered by a 454 30 over with World Merlin racing heads, long tube headers, a cam you can hear even with the fuel injection and many other improvements.  Coupled with the 5 speed and posi the diesels don't stand a chance.  The Escalade is no slouch though with a 403hp 6.2L and 6 speed automatic.  Of course Maxx doesn't pass many gas stations either.  :eusa-doh:

Everything I own except for 2 are GM or Wheel Horse.  There's the 64 Thunderbird Special that's for sale, and the Cub Cadet Commercial zero turn.   :eusa-whistle:
