psychocontractorguy 12 #1 Posted April 24, 2014 This is the 1984-'85 312-8 that I bought last August. Over the winter, I've been busy with it, and, as you can see, It's ready just in time for lawn mowing season. Okay, maybe a couple weeks late.... Thanks to the guys who helped me figure out what hitch I needed for my ground-engaging equipment. It was a neat project. Tore it down to the chassis, washed, stripped, primed, and repainted. I also replaced and/or cleaned up the wiring and fuel systems. I ordered a set of decals from VINYLGUY, which were of the finest quality. They were for an '86 model, which differed somewhat from my original decals (mainly in the dash area), but I was able to make them work just fine, and I think they look great. The only regret I have here is that I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize that he offers a discount to forum members. My bad! I elected not to try and hammer out the couple of small dents in the hood, mostly because I'm not a very confident "body man". The colors are obviously not original, but I liked them, so that's how it happened. Cream-colored wheels and a brighter red for the body. Thanks for looking!
