baerpath 517 #1 Posted July 17, 2013 Picked this up yesterday for parts but you know how it is you have to mess with them first. Had been parked for 2 yrs, no fuel cap and a almost full tank of something disconnected the fuel line and sprayed carb cleaner in the carb and it started. deck is usable shape elec clutch works, trans pump has been replaced along with the hyd lines. Also came with a well built receiver hitch that fits it or a D series What ya think saveable or part it ? Anyone interested in it

SousaKerry 500 #3 Posted July 17, 2013 (edited) You should scrap it in my yard, just drop it off and I will take care of it for ya.... Seriously looks like a good candidate for a rustoration. Edited July 17, 2013 by SousaKerry
stevasaurus 22,230 #4 Posted July 17, 2013 Metal looks straight, rims and tires look good, engine runs...looks like a keeper.
546cowboy 301 #5 Posted July 17, 2013 I'd say keep it! It sounds like it has a lot going for it.

squonk 38,928 #12 Posted July 17, 2013 I saw it too. I regret selling my GT-14. If I didn't have so much going on and had the room, I would have got it
953 nut 51,682 #13 Posted July 17, 2013 Seems to me that we are all about the preservation of Whee Horses, this is a keeper! You may not have a need for it but there is bound to be someone who would show it some LOVE. If it wasn't for the fifteen hour drive (one way) I would buy it . DoctorHfuhruhurr 132 #14 Posted July 17, 2013 Personally I'd keep it together since it runs and moves well under its own power. If something big like the engine or transmission was broken then I'd consider other options.
Wheel-N-It 2,967 #15 Posted July 18, 2013 I think what you found was the top secret Cub Cadet copy of a GT-14. It never went into production, and Cub Cadet was sold to MTD.

Tankman 3,515 #18 Posted July 18, 2013 The Stallion, neglected, abused, needs love. A keeper for sure. I would go out 100% sand / shot blast, repaint. Replace hardware. Clean, clean, clean. Don't abandon this great Horse, a "real" Wheel Horse! PS. A new decal set from Terry to finish the project. Wow! Nice!
