First coat of paint on everything except the hood last night.

Looked good, did a finish sand and sprayed finish coat on dash and tank support this morning and I dunno what went wrong, but the paint wrinkled!

Don't know what to do but let it dry and sand it again?

I do know, I'm scared to spray the fender and belt guard again!

Bore the pulley out a bit and use a trantourque.

That's pretty cool, never thought of those!!

Fired the engine tonight! Belt on, belt guard in place, built a clutch rod out of an old Murray tie rod and tested the tranny. All works well, fires up and runs great!! Of course, it is a K-motor!!

Broke out the high tech test equipment…

Fender and dash support are installed as well as lift lever cable & arm. Still 7 days until the Route 66 flywheelers show and only major things left are the good, fenders, dash, fuel tank & support to paint/ re-paint. Build and install the exhaust and a load of little stuff!!

Almost had major problems last night, it stopped running when I knew there was fuel in the tank!!

That's when I realized the ropes on the gas tank stand were out of adjustment , allowing the gas to run to one end of the tank!

Coming along nicely Roomie did some more painting.

Tomorrow we have to finish sand and paint the hood, find a muffler dash and controls then final adjustments!

Not sure about muffler, I have several but nothing that bolts up…

The paint isn't nearly as good as the pictures look, just rattle cans and lots of blemishes. But, hey the bad spots are only in the places that really show!! Lol

Ok, maybe the hoist is a bit of overkill.

First coat on the hood, a few blemishes to sand out. Final spray on it tonight, then the wheels.

The K181 on this engine does not have threads in the exhaust port, only the flange bolts. Having hell finding a muffler.

Thanks Jim but I got it fixed, built an adapter plate and screwed a Briggs muffler in it.

Finished it up tonight…we thought lol!

Went for a test drive and the engine that ran so great when we tested it, now smokes something awful! Let it sit there idling and snapped the S/ G belt! Have a brand new belt, hoping the smoking is just stuck rings....hoping,lol. No finished pics, was to dark!

Tomorrow night I'm going to slip a new belt on and load her for the show!!!

Wow Rooster that is one heck of a CNC Double Column Planer Mill you have there, Okuma?

If you ever need to plane off the deck of your engine block or bore the cylinder you wouldn't even have to take the engine out of the tractor! :ychain:

We actually now have 2 of those Okuma's. Right now I am actually running the first part on the new one. The " big" one is 10 Meters long, and I did deck and bore a Briggs twin on it, lol.

We had a blast & got lots of compliments on our tractor, but I think I'm gonna have to order another hat!!!

Still looking for some wheels, and needs decals but otherwise were calling this one done!!

Great little first tractor I think!

With under $100 in it I could not be more satisfied!
