the sheet metal on this one was nice ( except for the rust pitting under the seat), just welding up a couple of cracks, screw holes on the hood from lights, and bead blast and paint them, i want to do more easy stuff like this!

somebody is getting excited about getting this thing finished.......

Glad to hear of another update! Its looking great guys! :handgestures-thumbup:

Did you do anything to make the steering wheel nice like that or was it just that way? my wheel on my ranger has a lot of scratches in it and was wondering if there is a way to repair them?

Jake, that wheel was the first one I repaired in the 1057 thread. It's a correct size wheel for the 875 so I kept it for the 875 and got a larger one for my 1057..

yeah, that plug is just one i had laying around that doesnt matter for anything else. its just to fill the hole to keep it closed. i havent gathered together the rest of the ignition pieces yet......

the k181 used a champion j8,  that plug in there crosses to a j19lm.......

i usually have a few h10 laying around as thats what the big singles use, but i didnt have one for the 8 hp at the time...

That really turned out nice.  The tires you picked are the icing on the cake for a nice restoration.

well it is a pepper pot......

dad got to ride it earlier tonight as kent was enjoying washing the dishes. for somebody who hates this job, he spends a bunch of time messing around at the sink.......

anyway, rode it around, runs nice, rear is a little noisy, not hydro but unidrive part of trans. also its leaking from the parking brake (fixed this once before) and i see its damp around the direction control on the pump. i think after this season i will pull the trans and do all the seals properly, also look at the final drive and axle bearings as well......

heres a bunch of pics of it out in the sun....
