The 48" sd deck on my 1986 417-A doesn't have a model number on the id tag. Anyone have a number for this one? Thanks, Kevin

Don't know if the 417 used the same deck or not.... but my 88 416 has a 48 inch SD Model 05-48MS05. This deck was made in 86 and 87 according to Toro's website.

If the mower and tractor were purchased together and the dealer didn't use an old stock mower, then a 1985 417A would have a 48" Side discharge model 05-48MS04. The 1986 would have the model 05-48MS05.
Again, this is "if" the tractor and mower were bought together and the dealer didn't use an older stock mower with the purchase. (Or a prior owner didn't "pickup" an older deck for it).
Since the C series, 300, 400 and 500 series and the newest "Classic" Toro wheelhorse tractors could all use the same decks, it is hard to just say "this is what came with it'.

Hope this helps......some! :D

Careful about assuming. I have an 87 414 that I was told had the original deck., but when I figured out how to decode the numbers it was from 99.
