Custom Dash Panel?

Recommended Posts

Electro12WH

I want to create a custom dash panel. I thought about using the steel backing plate and making a 22 guage aluminum plate to go over it, only cutting out the things I want. I'm only using the throttle/choke slots and the ignition switch. Has anyone else got ideas for the dash???

Just weld in whatever holes you are not using and have Terry make a custom decal for you.

Sorry I don't have a closeup of the one he made for me but it can be labeled however you want.

I made one from aluminum..... but there's nothing in it other than the four screws to fasten it to the housing. B)

Is there a trick to bending aluminum if you don't have a metal break?

Bending aluminum can be a challenge first you need the right grade most common grades do not bend well without cracking look for something in the 3000 series comon 6061 will crack. Without a break it is hard to do but can be done with a vise and clamps and bars.

Let us know how it turns out. We might want one if you can produce it easy enough.
