Sorry no pics on this update but got the motor back today after the valves were ground. I will order some new crankshaft seals this weekend and then we can send it to our buddy to have him finish it for us. Also got some of the tins and the flywheel painted, also did the gas tank.

Well, Finally an update!  :)  I have been working on the hood a little bit. I have everything finished up that needs bondo now, just a couple little touch ups and then I can prime and start sanding the entire hood. If I can keep myself from buying something at kellys show I will be ordering new rubber soon. I am also hoping to take the wheels for this, my 57 rj35, and some better fronts for my 401 to the powder coater. The motor is still sitting in the same spot it has been for the last few months. Here is a picture of the hood.

Are you going to have it done in time for the Charlotte show??

I am putting the last few pieces on mine this weekend. The hood won't be done but it will at least be in primer

I wish I could have it done in time, but I know thats not gonna happen.Dont have tires, wheels have to be powder coated. And motor is completely apart. There's still quite a bit of work to do on the hood too.

well here are some pictures of the trans. I haven't made any progress on the motor yet. The trans is really nice on the inside....all gears and bearings look good. But I am still going to change the bearings just to be safe. I took apart the differential to clean it but had it back together before I took the pictures. Everything has been soaked and cleaned up...I just need to bead blast the case, order some bearings, and put it back together. Maybe if I'm lucky I can have this one done in time for scotts meet and greet!

Got the motor back together today with the help of a friend. Just have to paint it and put it back together the rest of the way. I still haven't ordered tranny parts so that will probably wait until Thursday. Getting really close on this project! Thanks, Jake

Got some parts in the mail today. Wheels are ready to be painted, hopefully I can paint them this week and take them to the tire shop next weekend( The good guy is only there on saturdays  :) ) Also wet sanded the steering wheel a couple weeks ago, its not perfect, but much better than it was. Don't have any pictures of that. Also, need to pick up some stuff to make a new wiring harness. Thanks, Jake

Starting putting the lawn ranger back together tonight, turning out pretty nice. I think I can probably have it done this weekend, but not rushing on it. Going together pretty easy. Does anyone know if the nylon steering bushings can still be bought? I didn't have one and had to take one off a round hood tank and cut it it go length, but its still worn out. Here's a couple pictures of it. Thanks, Jake
