fourwheels0 191 #1 Posted October 16, 2011 ok i've read that when putting on the belt for a snow blower that it should be on the outer groove on the pto. why is that? wouldn't it spin faster on the inner groove?. is there a reason not to put it on the inner groove?. i've looked at and put it on both grooves and it lines up better on the inner groove. just wondering why they say the outer groove. mdntspec 4 #2 Posted October 16, 2011 The outer groove would give you more power for heavy snow....but the old 68 Charger and blower I use shows the belt on the inside groove, with the throttle almost full open....worked that way excellent for more than 40 years now.....I sometimes run that same blower on the 2000 314, and set it up the same way.
