I Went a Little Crazy

Recommended Posts

tbbahner

Back in April, I posted a couple pics of repairing an axle pin on my GT14.

Well, I got REAL STUPID and went a little further on it than planned. You all like pics so here ya go. After a complete rewire, replacement of all switches, tighten up the steering, engine swap, etc. etc. etc. its back on the move.

If I ever talk of doing another GT14, y'all can come kick me square in the posterior! Too many parts, nuts and bolts. These things are a beast of a machine and I really like it, but its a bear to work on compared to the B's and C's.

Still need to redo the 3pt. tiller but need a rest. Man that tiller is heavy to try and move around.

really nice! Didn't know fixing a pin would look like that. I put a pin in my commando 800 and it didn't trun out like that when finished!

It turned out great. I was thinking of buying a GT14 sometime in the next couple years, but after reading your post I may look at another model to be my worker. Would you suggest a B or C model. It sounds like they may be easier to work on.

Great Job on your though.

I agree with Mavfreak. Changing that pin changed everything! Now I gotta get one for my 953! Tom

Tom, that is a really nice job. It's too bad you are way over there in Kansas because I have a couple that could use that kind of attention. Definitely a nice restore, something to be proud of. Now are you sure that you really want to use this tractor? :woohoo:

Wonderful looking restoration! Great job! By the way that is really funny about just wanting to do one thing and then in the end redoing the whole tractor. :woohoo:

Still my favorite Wheel Horse.....but glad it is west of the Missouri border!

The flat lands of Kansas will never be the same with that GT out on the range.

Great job TB...that 100+ heat must have affected you brain cells too!

Thanks for all the comments.

Yeah Frank, the heat definitely got to me a couple times.

On offers to repair other axle pins, I need to take a break.

BRRLY1, yep it will be used, but probably lightly.

Thanks again.
