Stering issue

Recommended Posts

My 523Dxi, model 73550, has developed sloppy steering. The mechanical bits are tight. Does anyone have some thoughts on this issue? Thank you

If you haven't already, try cleaning the power steering filter. It is located in one of the hoses behind the left hand side air intake below the steering wheel. Remove it from the hose, rinse it out with solvent, and reinstall. To bleed the system after installation start the engine and turn the steering wheel both left and right to its stops repeatedly.

Toro offers a service manual for your tractor that details everything. If you can find a copy from a local dealer or eBay it is money well spent.

Good luck with an AWESOME tractor!
