SILVER METALLIC WHEEL PAINT

Recommended Posts

josephesq

I have a 1990 Wheel Horse Classic 312-8 tractor the wheels of which are painted "Silver Metallic". The parts manual lists an order for 6 cans of spray paint with the part no. 8-0338, however, Toro has told me that it's no longer available. Can anyone direct me to someone who might have some of this paint, or a close approximation of it? I need to do some extensive touch-up on my wheels. Thanks!

Closest I've found in both color and gloss is Eastwood argent wheel paint.I think it it probably for late 60's to early 70's GM muscle cars.Goes on nice.Dries quick.Seems to hold up well.

Rustoleum "Metallic Matte Nickel" or Dupli-Color automotive paint "Silver Metallic" looks close too.

Argent silver was a finish used on Mopar vehicles from the mid-60's well into the '89s , tough color to get it right but the Eastwood stuff is pretty close . It's interesting how the differences show up out in the sunlight .
