520-H Dash & Wiring Harness

Partial dash and wiring harness from a post-1991 520-H (had reduction steering & swept axle).

This came from a partially stripped roller that passed through a number of hands before it came to me so I have no solid information on its provenance.

The dash:

- All gauges present & wired but NOT tested: hours, voltage, vacuum, tach, fuel (all except hour meter have illumination bulbs so possibly mid-90’s)

- Electronic warning lamp unit is in place (the plastic insert cover with labeling is missing)

- Hour meter shows 108 hours (so probably was messed with)

- Switches for warning light test and headlights are missing

- Fascia with steering shaft collar included

The wiring harness:

- Appears complete and dirty but unhacked as compared to 1991 wiring diagram and the IPL (part no. 79-3630) below

- Connectors to non-dash components (ignition switch, parking switch, PTO switches, ground, etc) are mostly in ok shape but will need cleaning

- 9-pin connector is dirty but not burned

- Has discrete fuse holders instead of the fuse block shown in the IPL

1988-ish 312-8 w/42" deck, Plow, & Snowblower

Up for sale is my step-dad's 1987/8 312-8. This sales comes with a 42" SD deck, 48" plow, and a short chute snowblower. Hours are a bit high at 1,600 according to the hour meter, but, the engine is a transplant from later on so it has less hours than the rest of the tractor. Since he has had it (2015) it has been maintained, just looks like 1,600 hours. In the last month I have performed the following maintenance items:

Drained, flushed, and refilled the transmission with 80w-90
Replaced shifter boot
Fuel pump and gasket
MAG side crankcase gasket and crank oil seal
Engine Oil Change with 15w-40
All new LED lights front & rear (nice and bright)
New mule drive pulleys on 6/14 (not cheap)
Sharpened mower deck blades and sprayed the underside with fluid film (deck is nice and quiet)
Everything greased up/lubed.
Fuel filter

Last year the battery was replaced by my step-dad. The 48" snow/dozer blade has a new cutting edge on it and a stabilizer bar that attaches to the front attach-a-matic to help stabilize the plow (all made and installed by me). About 3 years ago new rear ag tires and new wheel weights were installed on the rear. All of the belts are good, brake works as it should, and the seat is in good shape. It's a good running rig, just not the prettiest, I'd say 5/10 for looks (see the photos attached), but mechanically sound. The only component of this tractor that doesn't work are the check/warning lights (the hour and volt meter work), and haven't since it has been in my life. I just mowed with it again today (6/14) and it performed great. I don't have pictures of the short chute snowblower, sorry. Please email me any questions you have. This set-up will make someone a good year round worker!

Clean... runs good, good battery, swapped on rot free 16" fronts and 23" rears. 36" deck...not silent but still very useable.

Have original solid red hood and will include it.

I just got a good deal on an 1848 and will pass on a deal to somebody that wants a 308.

2004 520xi and Plows

SOLD SOLD 520xi with air cooled 20hp Kohler - tractor in great shape and solid. Everything works. Engine was removed a few years ago and cleaned of grass buildup. New head gaskets and PTO seal a few years ago. Engine showed a decent amount of wear but runs strong and fires right up. Didn’t like the wear and needed a zero turn for my property. Would not hesitate to mow with it right now. 1200 hours. Have original paperwork. New air filter, fuel filter, fresh oil & filter. It’s been mowing 3+ acres for 20 years.

52” side discharge deck complete. Currently mounted on the 520xi- solid, welded/patched cracks and holes. Front roller broken and patched, newer belt. Was just removed and cleaned. Welded chips in blades, but never finished sharpening. Solid deck, decent life left.

48” wheel horse complete plow for 520xi 79355. Was used for snow. In great shape.

48” wheel horse plow incomplete for 300 series garden tractor. Was used for parts. Not sure what it is missing but what’s there is very solid.

MUST TAKE ALL. WILL NOT SEPERATE. Won’t answer if you ask. $750 CASH for everything. Only thing I’d consider selling separate is the 48” incomplete plow for 300 series. Will not deliver.

1990 520-8 with almost 1,900 hours. Tractor only, and I can bring it to the Big Show. The 9-pin connector has been replaced with 2 4-pin Deutsch connectors. All gauges work, and it charges. Runs incredibly well and was maintained to a tee. The previous owner was the original owner. Oil and filter change was done at 1887 hours.

I prefer a deposit or prepay before I bring it to the show. I can upload more pics if needed... also have a video of it running

Wheel Horse rototiller for sale here. Tines are worn, but usable. Has hitch and mid mount pulley set included. The flat idler pulley needs replaced, the PO’s brother allegedly welded it solid . No belt or tensioner springs included, and the rear idler is missing. The shell appears to possibly have been fabricated? I have not seen one like it.

Price is $CHEAP for the whole 522xi parts tractor (no engine or foot-rests, otherwise complete), spare transmission and power steering setup, the spare parts include headlight bezel, spindles, tie rod, tie rod ends, deck lift bar and lift pivot assembly, and more. A 48" deck shell and most of the parts to build it back. This is a pickup price and NOTE: Does NOT come with the wheels and tires. Will possibly negotiate them in if interested.

Will include 3 plows for the classic series also. 2 3 sector frames and 1 5 sector frame. 2 42" plows and 1 48" plow.

Wheel weights in pictures have sold.

Picked up a 308-8, solid red hood version. I swapped on a 308-8 blacked out hood as I like that look better.

I have the clean original hood and will include it.

New drive belt, good battery, tank and carb cleaned out.

Runs well, deck is not perfect / silent but is very acceptable.

I have a complete 552, still has WH tires on the rear. The engine has spark and 75psi cold compression. The Walbro carb is missing the float bowl so haven't tried to start yet. Front wheels are not correct.
