Came with a tractor I bought but I have no use for it. I did connect it just to try it out. The spindle bearings run very loud. It does work though and cuts quite nicely. Left side pulley is welded on for some reason. $100. Will bring to the big show. Sold.

Really nice 36 inch rear discharge deck. Model 78305. Original, like new condition. There are no holes or patches. Original paint. It's been sitting in my garage for a few years now after I upgraded to a 42 inch. Just got it out yesterday and greased it and mowed a little with it. Works great. $350. Sold.

About 3 years ago I finally had it with my 3-year old snow blower not starting for what-ever reason and found this 1973 Wheelhorse on Craigslist not knowing anything about the brand. I met a great local guy out of Butler that is a guru on Wheelhorse Tractors and bought this from him to plow the driveway. It’s a 8HP Kohler Iron Cylinder Motor and paint was redone at some point and looks great. The picture showing under the seat is water as I just rinsed it, not rust as it may appear. After plowing the driveway for a winter I realized there was something special about WH and this tractor so I bought a 36” mower deck (rear discharge) out of upstate NY to use it for grass cutting too and got rid of my other mower. This thing is 100% dependable, starts every time, mows great and has enough torque to climb a tree. It is the 4 speed transmission (no HI-LO) with 3 forward gears and one reverse. If you let the clutch out too fast in 1st gear, the front wheels come off the ground…very torquey. It mows great, maneuvers like a champ and is super dependable. It starts right up and idles like a clock. NO SMOKE. The oil is fresh, everything greased, blades sharpened….ready to provide service. The bad: The top of the rear fender had some rust repair holes and the seat clips that attach it to the seat base are broken. I have the seat firmly attached with gorilla tape and it still is adjustable and probably would be just fine for many years but this seat would be an excellent fit from Northern Tool. The right rear tire has a slow leak. I’m only selling because once I got the bug for Wheel Horse I ended up with another model with a snow plow and honestly wasn’t sure I even wanted to sell this 8hp. You can not and will not buy anything in this price range “NEW” that will outlast this even from this point on. This is build like a tank with steel and just google the Kohler K181 Motor for 3rd party input. I’m including an excellent condition snow plow, 50lb rear wheel weights (from a JD...same bolt pattern/spacing but…just needs WH red paint and some carriage bolts) and two extra good year tires and rims. This tractor is ready to work and needs nothing. I paid $1000 for the tractor and plow. $150 for extra tires. $250 for mower deck and $100 for wheel weights (Total - $1500). I’m firm at $1400 for everything mentioned. Pickup in Wexford, PA. 15090.

B80 custom with accessories

This listing is for a custom 1977 B80 8 speed.

The engine was replaced with a rebuilt 14HP K321 from @richmondred01 in December 2019.

The tractor has and custom hydraulic lift pump and reservoir added to provide dual hydraulics. The original manual lift was removed and the hydraulic cylinder and lift rocksaft from a C160 auto was swapped in and the hydraulic remotes from a D series was used to provide the dual hydraulic capabilities. One set of remotes is available to provide hydraulics to the rear or front by use of quick couplers. It has a rear lift with clevis hitch. New 23x10.50x12 ag tires and cast weights. The deck was completely rebuilt in 2019 new rebuilt spindles, pulleys and belts.

Also included is many extra parts for deck and tractor along with a complete extra manual transmission.

Also included is: a 48" front blade and tire chains., Workhorse tiller with great tines, 8" wheelhorse plow,

Selling my 520H with 424 hours. I think it's from 1996. Runs really well. I am including Matthew Darling's foot petal mod installed. I am also including 3 decks in various stages of disrepair. None are fully functional, 2 are 48 inch one is 42 inch, the 42 is shredding belts, I'm petty sure it's a bearing issue.

It's been a strong reliable machine, I need the space.

Decent Round Hood Hood

As you can see, it has had some knocks and dents but had no rust-through, drilled holes, or cuts except that the front bottom tab has been replaced with a brazed-on piece for the threaded front thumbscrew. All I've done was remove the surface rust and the last of the dead paint (wire bush and sandpaper), clean it, prime it (Rustoleum Rusty Metal), and Regal Red it (Rustoleum Enamel). It fits perfectly at the gas tank and at the front frame.

This hood came to me on a partially-assembled 854 I'm readying to be a nice looking worker but as I was finishing the refurb and went to put the hood on, I discovered it didn't fit over the K181. Another member helped me diagnose my problem -- the PO had sold me a tractor with the wrong hood! Round hood experts will know the 854 hood is a bit longer--I didn't know better at the time to check.

So, this hood is for sale and I'm looking for a usable hood for a worker 854 (which is a bit over 16" where this hood is 15¼"--see image below)

History:

The tractor came to me with a decent hood on it.

I cleaned the surface rust, sanded a bit, and painted it. Bottom tab had been replaced with a new brazed-on bit. All looks good. I went to install it today and it doesn't fit.

Dawns on me then that when the tractor arrived, it didn't have the air cleaner on it.

Yep, as you round hood experts have realized, my hood is a 702-type (part no. 4415). It's an inch too short to fit over that air cleaner.

Sigh.

the 520H i just picked up came with a 60" deck. It has been repaired but I have cut with it and it is smooth, no noises and anything. It is just way too big for what I will use it for. Would love to just trade it towards a really nice rear discharge deck. Will add picks later

All fluids and filters changed to Mobil-1. Does not smoke and runs great. All gauges work as well as the dash lights. Head and tail lights work but it needs a new switch. Stored inside and so did the PO. He and I only used it during the winter to blow snow. Tires are perfect. No deck

I just got this a week ago and loved it so much I just bought a 520. Sadly can’t keep both. Just went through and cleaned the electrical and did the oil change. Have a new air cleaner on the way. Not perfect but it is awesome, will include the plow but the weights and grader in the pics I’ll keep.

I think I am selling my 1987 414-8 with plow, weights and chains. Now here’s the story on this one. A long long time ago, I was searching for a snow plow for my 416H. In that search I stumbled onto a forum which was one day old. There was no name of the forum, just whtractor.15.forumer.com. Trying to learn more about snow plows I started conversations with one of the active members on the site, let’s call him Mike. Mike convinced me I didn’t need a plow, but an entirely new tractor.

About a week or so later, I found this 414–8 for sale, and bought it. I now had my plow and could plow the driveway. So what happened with Mike @Sparky and this forum I spoke of? It grew a little bit, and we now call it RedSquare, and for sale is one of if not THE reason RedSquare exists today, so you can own a piece of RedSquare history!

About the tractor: 1987 414-8. Kohler M14, runs well does not burn oil. Everything on the tractor works as it should, but it is a worker. The plow is a 48” with a custom made scraper blade, made from heavier stock than original. For the past several years, this has been a dedicated plow tractor, so it hasn’t seen a lot of work, but has also sat outside (under a tractor cover) so lots of let’s say, patina going on.

I a, selling because I just picked up a 416-8, and that will become my winter plow / blower tractor. I am looking for $550, but like I said this tractor is a bit of a legend!

I have cleaned it up since the pictures were taken.

Moved my boat outa the garage today which exposed this 48” deck that I was storing under it. Moved the deck around three different times today and decided to sell it rather than continue moving and storing it. I have a lots of 36” and 42” decks that I prefer for my smallish lawn.
  I think it’s a 2002 deck, still has some red paint on the underside, the blades are in great shape as well. No rot holes, no weld repairs, has the reinforcement bar across the front edge. With proper care this could be the last deck you ever buy!!
  Includes the mule drive.
Local pickup here in Andover Connecticut OR…I can haul it to the WH Show in PA.
