:thumbs2: Hi to my new friends and 1 special friend, that's the Duke!

The Horse Fixer told me to sign up here and join the fun.

I live less 15 minutes from the HorseFixer, work at one of

Wheelhorse Company vendor (die castings), producing aluminum

mower spindle housings and dash panels, the year was 1978.

Today, we no longer produce for Wheelhorse, obviously.

I do have a 1054 Wheelhorse to play with, it's my second one!

I sold my first 1054 to buy a 1968 Jeepster Commando (Red for red).

After I sold the Jeepster, I was starting to miss my 1054 and kicking myself

in the rear for doing that! I was able to acquire another 1054 that

HorseFixer found for me, trading him a few things.

To Duke: Thank you very much for refering me here!

Jerry

Now, I'm replying to my own post. That tractor pictured as my avatar is

my first one. I bought it as it is, slightly butchered, but a true worker!

Previous owner cut hood :thumbs2: and inserted standard auto battery to

stick up thru the hood. Leaving original battery mount intact, I refabricated

the battery pan (simple 3/4 plywood, routed grooves) to anchor this

bigger battery better. That headlight is actually a corn combine light! Lights

were broken, I did not drill that hole in the iron for that light, I think there

was some kind of hood ornament installed there sometime ago. I never drilled

any new holes, I take advantage to "adapt to fit" since I knew, if I wanted

to go back to original, I easily can!

Oh yes, that's my 244-H sitting there, with the solid chrome hub caps

I purchased within the first few weeks I had it.

The white cabinet shows I had accident with red spray paint, it stuck open,

though it wasn't Wheelhorse Red, it was Tractor Red I used as touch up to prevent

rusting.

:thumbs2: Coach for reposting my Avatar. I'm learning things all the

time, keeps my mind young. Thanks for welcomes from everyone else too.

That 1054 is my first one, rebuilt tranny, engine, and hydraulic pump.

It was my 1st horse I owned, now since sold. Even if it wasn't all original, it

did what I needed to do! Mow, blow snow, and push snow. Of course, it did

more than that, even bit me (don't touch that spark plug wire while running).
