So….. Did it have more than monetary value, hence no monetary value?

My problem is all the "interests" the Mrs has piled around! And of course my "interests" are WAYYY more important, valuable, and useful! :ROTF:

Good story and glad it worked out that way.  I find I'm fond of wheel horses with the pride and thought that went into them.  Knowing their pricing new I don't think anyone bought one in the day that didn't plan to respect the machine and take care of it.  Keeping that going is a respectable endeavor and why the saves are important and this forum is a great contributor to that.   When the time does come to move on or stable it for the last time I think it would be best to let a rig go when you have some say in who it goes to if it means something to you.  Like in this case.  Otherwise you wait too long and something happens and your rig is sold at a yard sale or to a person who will only see it as a mower to use until it breaks down then scrap it and find another.

Anyways... We do need pics!  I'll assume you're giving it the spa treatment of a thorough cleaning and oil rub down...

Obviously... you say that in jest, dear sir... otherwise... your... "interest" would be seeking shelter from flying rolling-pins... :deadhorse:

  Really Eric??
You can wander around in the woods and share with us a dozen snapshots of moss growing on the north side of a tree and then you make a post like this and not a single picture.

I have no comeback. It's possible you may be correct.

Spa treatment and a good tune-up for sure. This particular Beast doesn't appear to need much to be a good running worker.

Some areas of the paint are decent but the sheet metal looks pretty rough.

We haven't decided exactly what to do as far as looks go yet......

I have to agree that purchases like this are touching. The sentimental value just can't be quantified. Great story!

That being said, I feel the need to point out that this EXCEEDS THE FAIR AMOUNT OF C-160 TRACTORS for one household!!!! Congratulations, I bleepin guess!

Don't you dare! :P

One day, I WILL have a C-160 (Kohler) 8 speed. If I have to freaking build one, that's OK too!
