I have money to burn, said I and so here it is. @slim67 It will be "It's my thing #6" in a future post but first. I measured 1-1/8 axle and a 314-8 has a 1 inch axle. I would have thought they were the same diameter. Is this correct? Also  I knew it did not run, is it because the wire is gone from the rectifier? I'm thinking about replacing the engine with a Magnum 12

Nope. Some with 1" like a 314 or a B80 and some with 1 1/8 axles like the 400 series or that C120

No, The rectifier is only for the charging circuit and it should run with or without a regulator/rectifier

Cool Jon!  Like John said, I’d be inclined to get that K series going before swapping it out :handgestures-thumbupright:

So much for the "easy fix".

Yeah I must agree. Best described as a flat liner, I will give it a try and hope to have it running when I create a new post

It still could be. Clean the points, make sure there's 12v to the + side of the coil with the key on, fire it up!
