Well, things took another turn 🤔.

For the better? For worse? I'm not sure.

It does look like it may have room for 2 engines after all.

Would that make it any faster, or just tougher?  Still limited at 3600 rpms, right?

Yes, you would have to change the gearing. Standard gear ratio would be same speed but with more torque.

I'm thinking I'll probably go with a bit smaller trans pulley. Not enough to make low range as fast as hi range would be stock.

If you slave both engines to a shared jackshaft, you could enlarge the jackshaft's pulley to the trans as well.
