More runners, yes.

She has no more in project stage.

I still have 2 more 1974 C160 Tecumseh engine tractors and the big wheel build.

One of the Techie powered tractors runs. Needs to be mechanically gone through.

Well… the first “trailer” was a little tykes wagon… circa 2017… sorry no pic… but the first official car of the SL&WHN RR was Christmas 2018…

I'm down to just these 3. The 875 and the 1075. The 856 against the fence I haven't tried to get running yet. I also have a Case 224 that I guess dosnt count. The 875 has a plow mounted on it. Got to have some fun in the winter right???

Mighty fine herd Eric. How old is the shelter. I bought one this year just wondering  how many years the cover will last.

Thanks Gary!

Lots of variables on the life of the covers.

The smaller tan colored one was showing serious signs of sun damage after only one season of northern sun. That's why there's a tarp over it now.

The larger grey "shed" where the truck is parked might last a little longer but it's important to note:

I bought that specific portable garage for it's FRAME. During my research on all portable garages I found none for less than $2000 with good cover life.

I decided to focus on the structure. The framework of the one I purchased is a good width and height for my needs.

I expect to buy a light tan colored tarp to cover the whole thing next year and every 3 years after.

Thanks Eric That is what I was thinking put a canvas cover on it in a year or so. It is only for garden supply's any way. For $2000 you could build a skid frame and cover with slab wood. My brother did that for his out side wood stove. Take 4' logs in one shot.

Yessir.

We can't get slabs up here but do have rough cut available. I can get a fair pile of rough lumber from the new Amish sawmill for 2Gs.

One other option. If you have a good frame you could cover the out side with pole building sheet metal. Run the ribs horizontal instead of vertical, like they do with car ports. Never have to worry about it again, baring any storm damage. Probably be money ahead in the long run.:twocents-twocents:

Absolutely agreed.

That's another consideration I've had.

And I work for a building materials supplier.....

Oooo, any chance that you could start collecting cover sheets?? Install them and paint them after they are installed so they are all the same color. Could be a super low budget covering. I used to have a source for cover sheets, would get them for pennies on the dollar.

cover sheets

Those are tougher to get ahold of than I would have thought.

Some builders do just as you suggested.

Others use the cover sheet for corners and partial roof pieces.
