Small question, Eric... how exactly does it get put on / attached to the hood? :confusion-confused:

...or, maybe some magnets, so you can remove it with the quickness when your boy friends come over to play.  :teasing-poke:

What if you forget to remove it before your fellow cinnamon enthusiast pals come over to play.
One of those fellers could snat+ch it right off the hood and head for the hills! :angry-nono:

Fortunately Trina gave me plenty of warning and worked closely to get everything just right!

The macabre collection of body parts was taken oddly enough halloween! I also added a pic of just before shipment so you can see just how much that kick ass paint job rocks and see the mount bolts from the bottom...similar to all the mounts on the hood ornaments I do, just a bit wider spacing and larger bolts.

Really awesome concept! Special thanks to @OldWorkHorse and BBT for including me in the fun!

  Fantastic job! :bow-blue:

Just one thought. Your building Colossus to work in the woods. You'll have to be carefull you don't catch the figure with something.

Yessir. Quite true.

We do build our paths to fit whatever needs to be on one. All of them are cleared to a height of 8 feet or more so I can snowshoe without hitting branches.

There's a corner or two that'll need to widened because of the longer wheelbase of the machine.

I am genuinely more concerned about ME knocking the poor thing off the hood by swinging an errant log around or some such.

If ya really wanted to add a magnet..careful drilling with forstner bit into the base could make a pocket for a rare earth magnet!

Neodymium. I do actually have a couple of those here. I think mine are just a hair too big. Maybe 1" x 1/4" thick.

What size do you think I could get away with?

They come in all sizes. Id say  maybe squeeze a 1/2 x 1/8 toward the front just behind the bolt and a 1/4 x 1/8 toward the tail.  And maybe a 3/8 x 1/8 between the two? I would suggest drilling through the spacer as well, or see if the spacer is thin enough to allow the magnetism to go through. If it would, the spacer would protect from magnet scratches.

I got a feeling that dude’s big enough, he’ll hold on to the hood for Eric!

This is fantastic, talk about knowing what you want and going for it...I love it.  And for those worried about it getting hooked on something, I'd be more worried about the tree branches or whatever that crosses paths with it, Colossus is indestructible, it's kind of his thing haha.
