Having a hard time with carburateur..tore apart and cleaned. Guessing the idle jets. Ordered a new one. Original has like a curve to it where it mounts on intake, new one is square, as in flat. Im not giv8ng up but come on lol

My HH100 did not have any curve..but the Chicom carb linkage wouldn't clear the block without the yellow backing plate

The HH60 and HH100 I recently refreshed both had a 1" extension that bolted between the carb and the block (with a thicker gasket on the block side to keep the carb from getting excessively hot). Like @pfrederi, these needed that offset to get their governor linkages to reach and align correctly. On the HH60 I was able to resurrect the original carb but the HH100 was DOA and had to be replaced with an aftermarket (which fit like a glove, started right up, and runs ok but I'm still tweaking the jets--the needle valve threads are coarser which make them more sensitive when turning).

I doubt RTV would set up with enough rigidity, given how sensitive the governor/throttle interaction can be, even if you could shape it reasonably. Plus, most RTV specifically prohibits use in contact with gasoline in bold text on the instructions!

I had used a black rtv which was for motor fluids..gas and oil. But im new at all this older machinery stuff. I built a racecar, maintain numerous quads and a dirtbike...cant find the right stuff to make a 10 horse run...🙄🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️just dont know what im looking for. I can rebuild the old one maybe but where to get the kit? Im not so resourceful with these kinds of things all the time

I made this spacer for the ChiCom carb to fit on my HH100 out of 1/4" aluminum plate, plus made gaskets.
