I don’t recall if they were $290 or $390, I want to say the higher… but that’s what JUST those rear wheel weights were selling for in PA in June…. Congrats on your find!

Welcome

Thats a clean looking tractor, especially if that’s still original paint.

Tell us a little about your other tractors. We love pictures of all colors.

It also came with a snow blower,

Not too sure what you will be able to do with a snow blower in Florida!             :ychain:         Nice buy, this manual could come in handy.

Sweet, thanks.

I'm planning on making some side money clearing all the snow around here😁.

This one is a '78 JD 317.  Still has the original series 1 KT17 in it and it runs great.  This one had been sitting in a barn for 20+ years and the rats had made a home under the hood.  Took some rewiring and some new points, fuel pump and lines, and it runs great on two new front tires.  This is a strong machine.

WHX??

:WRS:

Yep wheel weights are worth the price of admission right there. Raiders a real fav around here!

Those 317s sure were a popular tractor.

I would love to make some side money clearing my neighbor's snow... but they are too cheap to pay. They would rather get nothing done and have their land look like hell-warmed-over than pay.

Not an issue of being able to afford it, either. One is a rich old miser, (I nicknamed him scrooge...:laughing-rofl:)

Oh yes, same here! Both mowing and weed eating. Now leaves.

Scrooge next door has been telling me all Summer how he struggles with leaves... needs my help blah blah blah, now, the day before yesterday, he tells me ('cause he doesn't want to pay the piper)... he isn't worried about leaves... that he doesn't try to keep up with the leaves.

Keep in mind, these people have many acres of land... and he is almost 70 years old. ...old goat...

Are you thinking that you won't ever be 70?
