Plastic carbs

I don't know if this really falls under "Other Brands" or not, but I thought I would ask anyway. Lawnboys have very finikiy, plastic carburetors. Do you think ut would be OK to soak one of them in Berrymans, and then run through a sonic cleaner?

WHX??

I would be prone to  say yes. Might want to be careful about what fluid is in the ultra tho. :confusion-shrug:

You'll be fine then.  Simple green or purple power should do a nice job.  Not sure how it does on varnish but dirt and grime :handgestures-thumbupright:

Are we talking an old F series plastic carb?? Or a Duraforce?
Either way. The jets are all removable on both. And the usual 'finicky carb' tends to actually be intake or crank seal leaks. Very simple carb.

As for the question at hand.. I'd remove and soak the parts, but not the whole carb.. I've watched parts simply vanish in my carb cleaner before.

I have both, but the particular carb I have in mind, is from a 6.5 Dura Force.
