7478 replaces # 4535 - (HB/5L x 84.22" or 5/8" x 84.22")

so a 5/8" x 84" should work

Make sure you have enough clearance between the idler pulley and the lower loop of the belt.    The factory belt on my 312  was cut to shreds by contact with the sharp flange on the pulley.

That's why I like to buy at TSC.   When the new factory size belt was too close to the pulley, I took it back and exchanged it for a 1/2" shorter belt.   It gave me good learance with the pulley.

i had to much clearance it wouldnt stay in drive it kept popping back into park
