I'm in upstate NYS and we have lots of "snow birds" that winter in Florida but I have NEVER read or heard of wintering in KY! I spent all of my childhood summers in Russell Springs, KY and by golly I've still got lots of relatives down there that might have me for a while. Even some in Bowling Green!
