I'll be watching the progress on this one.

It could be me, but in the picture above the front rims look like they are from a round hood tractor. Say '60 - '62.

Not being familiar with the older horses....

These rims have bearings in them. Is that a Wheelhorse thing??

I was looking at the rolled edge on the bead as an ID for an older rim.

I have not seen Timken style bearings in any older Horse. My '60 and '61 both had bushings instead of bearings.

We were wondering what these were off of.

We'll likely transplant them to Trina's lead worker Pigpen tractor. That's due for some new sneakers very soon.

Never seen a WH with taper bearings, have however seen some real old campers and boat trailers with rims like that. Had to adapt hubs and bolt on wheeels to my 1958 Chris Craft trailer because I couldn't find a good set like that.

Also the Jim Dandy round hoods had taper bearing hub-less wheels like that. Could be anything I suppose. Any WH I've ever seen had bushings or the insert ball bearings.

The front's came off of a 1964 1054, if I remember correctly that tractor didn't come with wheels.

@OldWorkHorse, noting your trans drain , that's actually the best state to dump it at, the smooth easy release of existing used to be oil will make a fuel oil / kerosene flush follow up most effective cleaning. naturally a new shift boot , and a regular look at the new oil for any other cleaning going on, pete

Looks like a cool project! I like putting them back together much more than taking them apart. The fun is just beginning!

Awesome!  Is that primer, or the final color drab?  If it hasn’t been mentioned, is there a certain branch she is honoring?

Primer is our standard Rust-Oleum 2x Red Oxide.

That's OD Green. It appears a tad light because it was taken at night with a flash.

I don't think she is specifically going for any particular branch but it works out that her friend is fascinated with the US Army and those are the camo colors  BBT is using.
