That's pretty dang cool! I'm going to take a stab at it and say maybe mid 60s?

That's interesting.  Other's will know what year and model.  Guess someone who was good with sheet metal really wanted an IH!  Really like the louvers.

It would appear to have some :wh: basic DNA but hard to tell what year or model from that one picture. Definitely a short frame so 1965 or older is my guess. The sheet metal all appears to be home brewed and the seat support didn't come from a :wh: .  :confusion-confused: are there any numbers on the transmission?

If you can put up a few more pictures. The framing in the transmission looks to be interesting

Judging from the paint conditions of the frame vs the sheet metal an already old Wheel Horse, perhaps with damaged sheet metal just started to look like a IH to someone with talent and they helped it along.  Good job with the new dress!

Welcome to Redsquare.

The shifter with its forward lean has me thinking early sixties. All custom sheet metal has stated above.

I'd be very interested to see more pictures all the way around. That's a cool little piece of equipment.

The more I look at the sheet metal the more impressed I am.

Anyone recognize the head lamp?

Welcome fellow Michigander!  Make sure to not run that transmission without a belt guard fashioned, or a belt stop tab system at the least.  It stops the drive belt from moving.  NEVER shift with the belt still moving, it’ll cause bad damage to the trans:handgestures-thumbupright:mission

Very cool looking tractor.:handgestures-thumbupright: Judging by the dash tower I would guess that it started out life as a 1964 model 604 or a 704.

I was giving the customizer credit for the dash tower as well, but with your comment and a closer look I'll have to give credit back to the Ponds for the dash tower.

Not to hi-jack a thread, but here is another, What year? What model? I probably should go get it. Worth the asking price I think, but would rather have a complete tractor.

For any missing sheet metal, you would be best to post a wanted add in our classified section. Transmission rebuild kits are available from https://wheelhorsepartsandmore.com/

Looks like it has a Briggs in it now, you would need a Tecumseh HH60 to make it a 604 or 654. If you wanted it to be a 704 then you would need a Kohler K161.

Personally I would find or fab a belt guard for the main drive belt, find the parts for the clutch idle/tension pulley and brake linkage & enjoy it the way it is.:twocents-twocents:

Here is a link for the manual with exploded views and parts lists for your tractor.

I'd suggest trying to find a basket case WH.  Probably easier and cheaper and having spare parts around is handy!

I'd get it mechanically sound and keep the altered sheet metal.

It looks to be a B or C series. Has some custom stuff on it but looks mostly there

What's the asking price?

That's a '71/2 up to '75 like @Achto says. Looks big block.
