I can see airlines, hospitals and such checking for proof.

That sounds like another photo ID card requirement.   :confusion-shrug:

Fake cards will show up on the internet for the non-vaccinator types.          :confusion-questionmarks:

Getting my first one tomorrow and wife got hers two weeks ago. For me it was a constant checking on the computer for availability which was not easy. I was beginning to think the whole thing was rigged since when checking on county site as I was looking at it they would add new dates and they were all taken when they added them. Finally one morning as I checked just for the heck of it without any expectations there were lots of appointments available in half dozen places.

No County run system here Cas.

This is what the state provides. A map of places that may have vaccine available.

To date, I have not found any with openings and only one that actually took a registration with a promise to call back if a shot was available.See the source image

Interesting Ed... So anyhoo for all you vets that use VA I got recorded calls from the them saying about virtual townhall meetings about getting your shot. They kinda stated if you don't  attend you may be in danger of losing your VA benefits.

I know the VA is picky about having to come see them at least once a year for a "wellness" check up so they threaten us all the time about this.

Nice to know uncle Sam is looking out for us vets.

Me and my wife  finally got a vaccine appointment for 3/4/2021.  Mijers of all places and I think it's the Johnson and Johnson single dose. But I won't know until I get it and I really don't care witch one. 6 weeks I've been trying to get an appointment.

@WHX24 I use the VA for all my health care . They have been taking care of me since 1973. Have a visit with the primary clinic every 6 months and all the other clinics whenever I need to see a specialist. I have a service connected disability so it may be different for you.

Remember! When an announcement of Vaccines are available, It is based on the fact that X number of vaccines are SCHEDULED TO BE THERE. If for some reason only half get there or don't get there at all is part of the reason for the difficulty in getting an appointment. There is no conspiracy against this guy or that guy. J & J was just approved and already they are being distributed in NY at night believe it or not to accommodate the mid shift workers in the Syracuse area. with more vaccine available you will see the misery of scheduling an appointment dissapate.

I got my first shot (Moderna) last Thursday and my wife gets her second (Pfizer) tomorrow. She had us on several different lists (county, two local hospitals, Meijer and Walgreens) and I"ve received three calls this week about open schedules so it appears to be opening up quite a bit here in NW Ohio.

Not really different Jimbo.... just I have to travel 2 hrs one way to go to my VA. Then they want me to come back in a month just to pee in a bottle.

Got my first jab today at the VA , return on 3/23. Nurse told me they are vaccinating 150 to 200 vets a day  ( that includes Saturday ) at this location. So operating 6 days a week at 7 hours per day at 150 per day , they are jabbing approximately 6300 per week. Already scheduling the age 60's. Not bad for a Fed run hospital .

I would have liked to have been there for that. Nurse took one look and got out he cordless drill with a diamond tipped bit!

That is no fun with that much travel. I drive 4.5 miles one way.  We have clinics set up in smaller towns  so folks don't have to travel so far. In the last 9 months I have peed in so many bottles, they gave me a 5 gallon jug and told me to bring it back when it was full.

Reminds me of the lead test we did on all employees back in the day.    After using Red Lead primer for 50 years, OSHA thought we should all be tested.  Everyone carried and filled their own personal  jugs for a week.    Not one employee was over the lead limit.      I still think some guys had their wives filling the jugs at night.

I wished ... I wanted to go to a VA my dad went to cause I liked the Dr. but VA said no this this is where you go. Fortunately we can go to any VA for the shot.

Used a lot of red lead in the Navy Ed.... We was more worried about nuclear radiation tho!

@WHX24 You know that there is some kind of ruling about if the VA is 40 to 50 miles from your home you can use private Drs for your care. You should check it out.

On Monday our great Gov. DeSantis signed Executive Order 21-47 authorizing K-12 school employees 50 years old and older (among others) to get the vaccine (me). Our District (Pasco) had and email to me by Tuesday at 4PM with an automated scheduling link. I get my first shot Saturday 3/6 and the next on 4/2. I'm not a political person, but this guy is doing an awesome job :handgestures-thumbsup:
