Supposed to get 8-12. My old employer closed last night for Tues. because of what was coming. We got maybe 4" with some ice. Bet they never  close again!

We got maybe 3-4" of snow, and 3/4-1" of ice on top, and it's  30 degrees.  Got the walkways shoveled out, warm up a bit, and then back out to plow.  Far cry from the 8-12" they were calling for, but I'm not going to complain about that.

It would be foolish to be out in sub zero weather without gloves. Although I actually do know people that do it and don't have an issue. This guy is not one of them.

Ok I haven't even had breakfast yet. You're starting to make me look bad! (If that's even possible!)

 

You can thank me for keeping the snow away with my heating the garage over night and putting the blower in front!

We dodged this one.      It rained most of the night and left about 1/4" of ice.   I see some dead limbs came down from the maple trees, but no damage to the fruit trees.

The rain didn't really melt the snow stacks....just soaked in and turned them into solid stacks of ice.  Looks like I'll be in the center of tomorrow nights storm.

The thing I like most about plowing with a Wheel Horse?  I can typically get it unstuck by myself!  Ugg.  Fell off an unmarked driveway doing a favor.

Cleaned upwards of 3 inches of ice off the hood of my truck this morning. Clean the driveway yesterday evening and an hour later we had another inch of sleet on top. Work closed for yesterday and today.

Plowed out 6" this morning at home, 0 degrees and a light breeze. I got pretty cold, stayed out too long cause the neighbor asked if I could move the DOT  pile in front of her driveway. Now gotta do the parking lot at the shop/office with the Raider 10. The drifts here look pretty deep, might have to get the skidsteer out, but where's the fun in that?

I got to agree with Mike, I like New York just the way it is snow and all, can't play in the snow in Florida. And who wants to deal with all that heat and humidity in the summertime and the spring and the fall.

Moved the last of the URI snow from overnight this am! The old B-80 did a great job moving tons of this crazy white stuff!   Had to get another quilt out last night on the bed!  About 6 to 8 degrees outside!

Not us Chris, we left. 

 

Picked up about 8" overnight. It was pretty light and fun to plow. I did use the 76 blower tractor on some of it but I haven't put the new rubber chains I ordered after the last storm on it yet. It also needs more weight. I have wheel weights but my scrawny butt doesn't help much. I have a weight box plugged into the receiver hitch on the 05 plow tractor and thought how easy it would be if I could just plug it into the 76 if needed. I just ordered another hitch from Lowell. I love those things. It amazes me how fast the blacktop drive clears up once a little sun hits it. Even at 19°

Worked for Ebasco Services as my first job out of college and visited a couple of the power plants under construction. Seeing huge components like these being installed was a great treat for a young engineer!
