Beautiful machine.     Check with the PO, he may have the plow angle lever.

All looks great!  I loved my 36" rear discharge!  Just wanted to get it done faster.  I might still set it up again for mowing just around the house.

Again I bring up the reason to have multiple Horses.

Yeah I figured it will last me forever lol. I'll likely not put more than 50hrs a year on it. Things will last a long time if properly taken care of. I have a couple mowers at work with 4000 to 5000hrs on them with the original engines.

Thanks! I might ask him, but he was selling it for his Aunt who lives 4hrs away from me. He was nice enough to go pick it up and meet me 1 1/2hrs away. And I think he lives a few hrs away from her.

Yep. I was happy it had the 36inch. I want to use it to mow around the house myself.

Can't have just one!

You will tire of changing implements, even though the Ponds made it about as simple as possible AND you will find another for $200-300 and justify it.  Plus, tires and chains front and rear are for plowing not mowing.  Mower doesn't need the chains or the wear that might go along with mowing.  Later you will want a cab and you will NOT want to be swapping it on and off and storing it.

You'll see.  But enjoy what you have for now!

Well, it just dawned on me that you contributed too.  Your money and a lot of your time and effort as well.  And the good sense or fortune to come here!  I think WE did good and I guess we all make a good team!

Seriously, you did good!  Now, when you have time, go to a Cub or JD dealer and price all that new.  Don't waste a ton of the dealers time, but if they offer to quote and write it down don't be rude either.  Then you can show SOMEONE what a brilliant buyer you are and how MUCH money you saved on THIS deal for the NEXT one!  And really, now that you are watching and DON'T NEED one you'll find something for $200 or so, maybe not as nice as yours but so what!  Then it has truly begun!  AND!  Even an 8hp will power either the blade or that fine 36" deck just fine!  I know first hand!  Cheap on gas too!

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Wheel Horses!

Nice score @racerjohnbf!

I bought an older Wheel Horse last winter... 10 horse.  Came with a snow plow.  Something like the tune of $400 and a day of driving.  The next weekend my brother told me about the smoking deal he got on a plow for his 500 cc Honda side by side.  $650.  I says awesome, high fives, and whatnot.  Then I told him about my purchase.  He wasn’t so impressed with his deal any more.

wow - congrats - great deal !

not a fan of a 36" deck on a 300-500 series - but with no deck it was still a great deal
