Cool! I actually used to live not that far from Garden City, KS, Kansas City is comprised of KC, Kansas, KC, Missouri and North KC, Missouri right on the border. GC is all the way across the state.

Thats really cool, so sweet that it fired right up.

That "raw" stripe on the hood is pretty interesting too, gives it a unique look.

Jack:  Great find on the 552. With the Hein Werner hydro pump.   Looks like the original Tecumseh 5.5 hp motor has been changed to a 6 or 7 hp Kohler with Kohler recoil.

Looks like you need a rear slot hitch and maybe a cable to make full use of the HY2 hydro lift system.

Save her it is a great find of a great Wheel Horse machine!

Anybody notice the spokes in the steering wheel?  That’s not original, is it?  (not that it bothers me, I like it!)

That's the Deluxe Model has hydraulic lift and power steering. Notice how much bigger the steering wheel is must be 17" diameter.

The hydraulic lift setup is great if you are plowing or using heavy implements. For just a mower deck, I find it unwieldy.

The are Deestone front and rear, 4.8-8 fronts I believe and 23x10.50-12’s.
