So I take it the M12 is a repower because it should have had a K12?

What are your plans for this tractor and how many do you have now?

:text-thankyoublue: It needed some carb work, because of the ethanol the carb bowl had holes in it The carb bowl was no longer available, so we solderd it

Runs great now!

If something is old, it automatically gets seen as worthless.

But i don't need that modern junk

Indeed it would have had a Tecumsh 10hp. Not original, I don't think it's misplaced.

I have 2 WH's.....for now  , I got a lot of attachments, so i don't have room anymore in the garage.

I won't to get my current WHs in a better condition before buying an extra.

What do you have?

a wheelhorse leafcatcher

And some non wheelhorse brand stuff like a seedthrower, a pullbehind snowplow (or grader), a aerator
a weed remover, I don't know what it's callled but it's for flatting out a pasture.

I would love to find a plow or a tiller

I replaced the transmission oil on the mudhole raider, so i jacked the front up. remove the drain plug and ....  2 drips

Mmhh no oil in the trans??:eusa-think: the outside of the case looked so clean.

The shine in the rest of the pain gives you a clue how the oil looked that i changed today on the Kohler Expess 312-8.

But after some pooking around in the drain hole on the raider, this came dripping out.  Yaiks!!

So thick, must have some mud mixed in it, And do i see metal flaks?

That is most certainly gray enough to have some metal mixed in. But after who knows how many years since it's been changed. It's hard to get that worried about it.

Best bet is to run a couple of diesel flushes through it and when you go to put the gear oil back in, add a magnet somewhere. Drain plug. Neodymium magnet on the outside. Something to catch the filings.

Can't do to many diesel flushes, or i will be getting in problems with my supervisors.

Can you do something instead like change the oil more often?

My parents don't like me to change that stuff all the time, And the oil is pretty cheap around here, so changing that stuff more often is perfect for me an the usage they will see witch isn't a ton. I just changed the oil in my 312-8 no flushes, and after some grading it's still very clean, i will see what is needed!

That would be the way to do it.

Any chance you can get a hold of a magnetic drain plug or a neodymium magnet?

Have had a wanted ad on our local CL for a couple of months, searching an good non-chinees carb for the M12.  Finaly someone answered. A brand NOS walbro carb and lots of parts that are untraceable here in Belgium.

So I went out for a little testride :auto-layrubber: only a leaking fueltank still has to be fixed.

Wasn't the only out today!

Take the choke out, cut adjust and reattach the lever.. Or swap it with another lever.

I'd rather have no choke than no air filter any day.

I'll be darned. Had to rig up a temporary fueltank new lines. after the broken fueltank, hoses and broken carb. Fuel pump is leaking like crazy!

Can these be rebuild with just a new gasket?

Exactly over a week, I will have my raider 10 one year. But I have less then 30 minutes of run time on it

some how the leaking fuelpump fixed itself! I am thinking gas leaking higher in the system was using the hose and pump to fall down.

Listen her purring now!! I am SOO happy!

Somebody correct me here if I'm wrong, but can't he use a K series breather on that carb? It would give room to that choke tab...

Might be harder to find overseas, but regularly available on fleabay.

Yes, I would have fitted since I run a K-series carb. But I have searched for it for a couple of months without any luck.
