Except for plowing and snow-removal, Why would you use Tire weights?

Would they be good for traction in a mudhole?

Trina has a tough time steering on wet or leaf covered ground, not just snow.

Her 867 is very light in comparison to my larger tractor and so is she in comparison to my larger me.

Hers also has sawtooth tires which have very limited traction.

She'll likely leave the front weights on year round.

Ive gotten buried in soft mud either way but on the front the weights have helped when snowplowing. Rear weights get the power and traction to the ground.

How does it steer?  I could see that on an XI with PS but without PS?

You just pull/push harder.

Good shoulder workout.

I suppose for intermittent chores it would be a real asset on HARD FLAT surfaces.

Definitely agree. I know my Cinnamon Horse gets to be a handful after going in and out of the not smooth forest a lot in one day.

i have them same front weights .they won't work on the narrower rims like my 857 the stick out and look dumb .on my c141 they fit perfect with the wider rims

i got mine dirt cheap . like to have some original WH weights i know few guys that would sell me some but they like gold want a mint for them

Dennis do you have other pics of this setup?  Looks like plow frame with an adapter for that small pallet?

I like this idea but worry about the lifting lever being able to hold heavier loads.

I wouldn't hesitate a heartbeat to put 200 lbs plus on that.

If you can lift it the horse would be fine.

Just a small engine pallet friction fit, that I slid over the plow frame.

Easily picked 300 lbs. but know that I wasn't testing it to failure.

Just moving a few items from the garage out back to the shed.

Back saver. Human energy preservation. Seat time. Great safety procedure.

Gott6 tell ya Craig that's an excellent idea.

Must be tough to pull the lift lever to get it off the ground no?  Guessing it may be hydraulic now that I look at the pic again...

Yes, gonna have to be a hydro tractor, your're not lifting that by hand unless you're corn fed like Eric.  💪💪

I use them when I mow grass in the summer as well. I mow a very steep side hill and the wheel weights tremendously with stability and traction.
