Snow Plow attachment

Just wondering if both a 42" plow and 48" attachment is identical. Wish to put  a 48" on a '88 416-8.  Model 79350 plow    Thanks

Yes, they are the same.         The 48" will work well on the 416.

Jack, I am assuming you are aware there is a short and a long plow frame.   Of course you need the long frame for your 416.        The blades themselves 42, 48, and 54" will fit on any frame.

Aw, assume not ! I'm quite sure this is the long frame. How long should it be? Im not measuring tonight, don't need the aggravation

The rear half of the long frame will have parallel  sides.      The short frame sides are an "A" shape from front to rear.

wow - 40 years - you got me beat

been around 20 years since I've mounted my plow

they work well - even without wheel weights I was able to push snow fairly well (on level and down hill)

can adjust angle easily

and easy to install and remove

Thats because it was on a machine my father  bought new in '65 and I was used until maybe 1980. When I sold, I didn't think I would use it so I gave it away. I bought one to cut my lawn about 12 years ago and tomorrow I pick up my third. Now I have to start putting plows on again.
