ebinmaine 62,980 #1 Posted October 23, 2020 (edited) Trina and I are headed a couple hours North up into the mountains for this weekend. Going to do a hike somewhere in the area of the Appalachian trail 6 to 10 miles east of route 26. Sunday we're going to spend some time training at her Sensei's. I've been slowly learning a little bit about the two disciplines of karate that she studies. VERY interesting stuff and I'm greatly looking forward to spending some time in their dojo as a poor excuse for a student instead of just an observer. What do the rest of you folks have in store for this coming weekend? Edited October 29, 2020 by ebinmaine Added pics
TractorChild97 158 #2 Posted October 23, 2020 Hopefully getting my dads mud mower fixed for him. Its a Murray that ran 55mph with a six speed Tecumseh. He blew his casing so I took his axles and put them in a peerless transaxle I have laying around. Hopefully we get that worked out.

8ntruck 6,358 #8 Posted October 23, 2020 Dog and I will be taking our daily walks on the Fred Meijer Hartland trial. Saw a doe cross the trial ahead of us yesterday. Since it ts firearm season, we will not be walking the trial where it is inside of the state game areas. If the leaves dry up enough, we will be processing them in some manner - either mulching them or burning them. I've got the tow behind dethatching rake in the shop to convert it to a front mounted attachment. Hopefully, I'll get some time in on it. On closer inspection, it appears to be a home made item.

I've been working the past three weeks on our rental house in preparation for a new tenant that will move in tomorrow. However, I do have plans for some serious seat time the next few days. Our yard has lots of trees and is about an acre and a half. Most of it is covered with leaves and I get to pull the leaf sweeper around. As an added bonus I get to pile them high for composting with the GT-14 and FEL once they have been collected.
WHNJ701 4,164 #11 Posted October 24, 2020 (edited) Using up Vaca days. Took Thur And Fri off. Was hoping to work on the bolens ride a matic but the weather wasn't great. Got the 854 all cleaned up and the tuned the 551 carb. Some odds and ends around the house. Soccer tommorow with the oldest, working on the younger ones quad he snapped the steering shaft. See what the weather does. Everyone seems to be preparing tractors for winter storage. I like this time of year and do most of the running of the collection in October and November, til the snow. I really don't do much in the heat. Maybe I should summerize them instead. If the weather is nice take one of the mustangs out for ride Edited October 24, 2020 by jabelman
JPWH 5,295 #12 Posted October 24, 2020 I've been asked to head up the electrical for our regional Skills USA competition this coming Tuesday. I have set up for the competition, a granddaughter's birthday, remove 6 hydraulic hoses on a ditch witch front blade and 1 hose on the backhoe end to get new ones made for a friend. Then I have some yard work to do, install a sink in my wife's dialysis room and install the doors on the compressor lean to, install compressors ... my wife has not given me her marching orders yet so some of this may just be a wish list. 2
