I think this is the last piece before the grille and hood become a one piece flip hood.

That shape is definitively „Old School „ fit‘s 100% your nick👍

Fantastic job.

i imagine nearly exact same shape, as you cut finally out of the metal, what give me the trigger to move the hood gently more to the right.

Do you have an spot welder?

looks great at all.

Thanks Tractorhead. No I do not have a spot welder. I did it by plug welding. I will use the same process when I join the hood and grill

Maybe not.

Remember the horsepower rule:  If some is good, more is better, and too much is just enough. :D

My next step up is a 24hp. That's as big as I have. Saving that one for some other crazy idea

Yap, you‘re right...

or to tell it with Walter Roehrl

You just have enough power, if you allready feared to turn the Key into Start position...

Anybody have any thoughts to where a guy could get a fuel tank that would be 6"dia, about 11" long with a center fill and a center petcock??

I have some different tanks out there from different stuff. Think there might be something like that but not sure on the center petcock. It'll be rusty inside but fill with sheetrock screws, give it some good shaking to scrape off the big stuff then soak it with cider vinegar. That cleans tanks pretty good.

Search around for a Wisconsin engine fuel tank. Some don't have the petcock in the center, some do. But that can be moved if necessary.

Don't think I've anything here like that but I'll take a peek.

That small one I offered is still available but your range would be pretty short.
