Hehehehe.  Let's just say I'm still closer to the beginning than the completion.

Well today's progress was getting the rear axle mounted, the brake linkage made and working in conjunction with the linkage to neutral out the trans. Also hooked up the forward/reverse lever and mocked up a running board

Well you got me there. I do NOT  have a plan for that

We can help you with a plan.

How about over and under lights on the dual headlight side.

That will work. Anyway you want to install them, just need two on the right,

Back to tin knockin. Starting on the hood now. Not sure which route I will go. Maybe RJ style or 401, or 753. Any input would be great

I don't know much about the differences on the round Hood models so I really can't comment but I just got to say I'm real impressed with the amount of work you've got into that already. It looks great.

Thanks. I try to make as much progress as I can in what little extra time I have. Family, work, second job and then playtime lol. The differences between the hoods in this case would be how I end it at the steering shaft. Thinking I want the hood to flip forward for maintenance

I would most certainly agree with that.

Just to throw it out there, another option you have is what I'm going to do on Colossus.

Battery and gas tank are going to be on a bracket out in front of the hood so it won't be able to tilt forward.

Long removable pin through the front hood hinge pin holes.

The long pin idea could very well work. I think my battery will be tucked in under the seat. but as far as the gas tank goes. Well not sure where that will go yet.

In my case as you know I'm going for a particular look and I have a tank that I really want to have outside so you can see it.

I can't remember specifically but I think I got the idea from looking at the way the plows were held onto the frames.

I don't know what kind of look you're going for with that. I've got a tiny little "gas" tank I would donate to the cause if you were interested in using it. I believe it to be a sixties or seventies vintage fogger for running a tube into the exhaust and spraying insecticide. It's only about 4"  diameter by maybe eight long?

I appreciate the offer. I will keep that in mind. I think once things come together a bit more I may have a better handle on what I need.

It might still be in the hood. I'm not sure yet. I did have to get something built to hold the steering shaft up though. Alot of undecided aspects at the moment

I like where this build is going.  Just one question, do you know what transmission this is?

Thanks. I'm not even sure where this build is going LOL  The transmission is a 331-3000 hydro gear.
