Because i have to rest for a few day‘s some things going slow.

so i decided yesterday to improve the charging ability for the Predator.

In first try i added an cheap chinese charging Coil to the one that exists, but that was primary purchased to have a coilbase to rework it.

The both chinese Coils delivers a max. of 1,5 Amps charging Peak, what is not senseful with the two High power LED Lights.

So i used them splitted, one for the Battery and one for battery Charging.

To change that, i do my equations and get a result of 230 Windings on that Coil with a 1,2mm Wire.

So after the last Coils, i got a rest of Coilwire, i will give it a Try.

because i run out of Wire while Winding, i have to stop at 174 Windings, what be far away from the windings i have to do,

but i decided to give her a try to get a measured results to compare it with my Calculations.

The Calculations told me for this Coils 8,7V by anCurrent of 5-7A, what was still not enough, but we will see what we got measured.

Here is the compare between the removed Wire on the left and the new Wiring on the right.

I crimped two wires on

347C3CA1-AD02-40F9-A85B-EEE69A124706.jpeg.3df81875cd690ad3aa1fc5d4c2b02218.jpeg

and protect the Wire with a added coat of clearcoat. That i wound a Foil on it

Insulated the open Wires in a heat resistant Covering.

The end build a little shrinktube to get it fixed.

at least i put a wound of self taping paper on it, to be anle to mark the Coil.

FF3A0BC7-D987-4020-A1DD-6061840170E3.jpeg.19832506b52e59dabe7462fc0f5e5896.jpeg

with a handwriting description i mount it in place

AAC2FE70-BC61-442D-9C60-B5B1068F6F25.jpeg.5059aef2f91deb2e3410b7700a143cff.jpeg

and completing the Engine for a Testrun.

The measured results be as followed:

at 1500 RPM = 5,10V @ 3,12A

at 2000 RPM = 6,75V @ 3,48A

at 2500 RPM = 8,58V @ 4,76A

at 3000 RPM = 10,39V @ 6,75A

at 3600 RPM = 11,98V @ 6,98A

This measurements are done with a Voltage regulator and an Capacitor after to clean the Voltage and a oilcooled Dummy Load Resistor with 100W, my used Measureequippment was a Oscilloscope for the Voltage and a Clamp Ammeter for the Current.

But after hook it up to the Battery i see a little charge.

That will be done by the Coilcurrent in Peak, what can be seen on the Oscilloscope.

There is a small fract, where this inducted Voltage beeing used a little to charge,

because the Voltagepeaks reaches in top 15,4V AC in idle.

But don‘t expect much current, because there is just a fract of the Voltage that can be used.

So i guess it‘s less than before on Charging.

but however, this give me the good feeling, i‘m not too far from the calculations away.

Thinkering a little longer about a Backhoe,

not while i need it really, primary only that i have build one for myself.

129EEF28-9EA9-4818-B60C-603DA44D11BC.jpeg.5a6c60fdcb494b87493d872a62e42133.jpeg

don‘t like to reinvent the Wheel, so firstly studing on some different designs like the above.

but the most be very similar just with minor changes.

Checking lot of designs at their pro‘s and con‘s to find out what i like best.

I used the 3D to design my own but actually all Laser Companies are extreme Busy and a shortest timeline will be sept.

and their prices increases dramatically, so i think i will build it in my own handmade Style.

I decided to use what i have on hands.

Begin with the Steelcutting 1.st part. And ordered few Steel pipes and plates i need for my Project.

Nope the Tecky rework is delayed.

i have seen 3 Weeks ago a complete Tecky rebuild kit incl. conrod gaskets and new piston for 180$, what sounds a very fair price,

but this kit is actually not available. But they will inform me if it is again available.

Just for a Piston rings 160$,  i found too much.

So i delayed the Tecky rebuild until i have all materials here.

Primary i design it for the Beast with it’s built in rear PTO driven own Pump and Tank.

The idea is a Switching system, to be able to adapt it also on the Horse if needed.

With a different pump for the Horse. But that is a „ later on“ task after the Backhoe exists.

It depends on how heavy it will be if finished.

You all know the melody:

A horse is a horse, of course of course

And no one can blow up a horse of course

That is of course unless the horse

Belongs to Tractorheeeaaad !

Sorry. Couldn't resist. Maybe you have never seen Mr. Ed. :dunno:  I am sure the Tecky will sine again.

Searching today for a thing and look what i’ve found...

The gift i got on my last USA Workstay from Bob, my US Workmate since.

I knew, i kept it on a save place, but didn‘t remember where This safe place was.. 😂

oh yeah, the age... and my Brain.....

two things they go their own Way.. 😎

But finally i found it.

today i’m doing a littl welding.

65B87FB5-065A-4BA8-9CC7-4F772C0873A1.jpeg.c2be028dc6a35b7178ace5d4a844c100.jpeg

Buzzing some Steel together.

Drilled a hole and reuse a 3 Point rearmount as an Mountpoint.

The Main Beam finally exists.

the 2 Anglemounts will be used as Tiltpoint for side swing.

i plan to increase the holes and weld two Rect. pipes on the leverpoint ( 3 Point) where the Beamcylinder later will be mounted.

to check what cylinderlenght i can use, i do few tests....

83BC6733-2C93-4E7B-86B0-D02BD4C5D52D.jpeg.f71ad4909ba5dc628c9120633c50e606.jpeg

Beam completely in

Beam about half out

Beam about 2/3 out

And Beam completely out.

the big Steel U in the Front shall be later the mountpoint that should be the side tilt connector opposite to the both

Steelmounts laying under the 3 point .

therefore i plan to drill all the holes up to 19mm.

i thinkering about a 50A plasma cutter to be able to cut the both Armlevers out.

The empty Weight for the complete Backhoe is precalculated at about 130Kilos.

150 kilos gross weight.

Hydraulic system gets a 40L pump and a 20 liter Oiltank.

Mainbeam is made of rect. Steelpipe 70x50 5mm thick

the Arm is made of a rect. Steelpipe 50x40 6mm thick

the Swing U is 140x85 9 mm thick.

that should last i think...

enstiffners are planed but not all are welded on for now.

.... to be continued

maybe i built a Rearmount also for the Horse  (Axlemount brackets)

but mainly it is planed for the Iseki to play with...

Hahaha, let‘s see what weight will result.

maybe it‘s funny to play in Winterservice with the Backhoe... 😎

no, basically it‘s made for the Iseki, because of it‘s three point.

i have to remove few Stumps out of the Garden and some Raspberry roots..

they grow here like mad.

if the Backhoe works i will try to build a Roots Cutter.

In my Mind that is a mixture between a Woodgrip and a big Siccors for Roses all Hydraulic driven.

A Riptooth is also in plan

Welded today the Cylindre mount onto the beam.

After that i built the Sideswing mount and give it a Try if it was usable and how to mount.

i take the decision to weld the Baseplate onto the Beammount and screw the opposite side to the Steelplate later.

The Mountplate laying on the Tracta‘s 3 Point may be become the center Mountbody, but that depends on the Hydraulic pump.

Than we picked today the Agave back on it‘s new place in front of the Shed.

later i moved the way to sheddoor and a small stripe arround the Properties.

The rest is untouched for now for the bees.

A small step forward...

thinkering the last day‘s a lot about the Backhoe - thinkering especially about the Ellbow how to build.

Laser the parts will be happen earliest in 3 Months, so absolute no option.

Build myself yes, but what is a good long lasting solution.

even if it‘s just a Corona Fun project, it should be usable for longer like my FEL.

So today a Pipe arrives and i brought it immediately into the Workshop.

Than i see an nearly forgotten Thing.

I have an cable window from a 6 To. Warn Winch that is use

ess laying arround and scream to me - use me, please use me...

A short check shows it was about 7mm thick and have 15mm Bolts for the cable Rollers.

- yap, perfect, exactly what i need.

A5A7AA63-95C2-42BC-80C8-B74224C6BD9A.jpeg.26bc6f148bb1c3c867f5e217909af736.jpeg

cut the both upper and lower sections with the Grinder and put it in half with the Bandsaw.

27556F8E-1C25-4F0F-B96D-EFAA4570D6A4.jpeg.467943134a3c912fd0921fbba3de076a.jpeg

that looks like a nice Mount.

i use the Abgled steel as distance between and welded them on.

0FCD3645-BF00-442A-A2D9-927537D4EAC1.jpeg.d1c00d0c1be1502e0438c7aada615e27.jpeg

Also the opposite side, first pointing, than align, than Welding.

C2F95F3B-9689-425F-B8A9-3713FCE53BDF.jpeg.76ba93a5d050de43660dd74e41851ad4.jpeg

I like to enforce the part on the main Beam, because it seems there is something missing.

To keep the distance even with load on it, i put a piece of 1/2“ pipe in the inner section.

444BADB7-17EA-4A72-BF8C-32A0EB324E95.jpeg.6d8f8d6914de1d0eb59ba79c8aff974a.jpeg

that get‘s later a zerk fitting for Service purposes.

CDD02F13-A90A-492D-A98D-A2D1E6D4EB64.jpeg.81d0c30d1c905390acdf38e0bd07a77c.jpeg

Angle check - yes, looks good so far.

Oh, i have an idea about the Edge...

6832D809-2E66-4E00-9156-B5E7A7EA56F9.jpeg.8dfcbadf8a3160c6c046d1ca642812a5.jpeg

Than i fabed two edges out of Flat steel 5 mm and welded them on.

Yap, looks much better and increases the stiffness.

4EA03B6D-C647-4B56-9051-75D61E76827C.jpeg.2af6c51431a02192509dcd13d32d0c01.jpeg

and a lookahead of the cylindre Mounts.

but before they be welded, i have to wait for the cylindres, because its dang close when fully open, to not hit the joint.

next step maybe tomorrow is to weld finally the Swingmount together.

i need urgently the gearpox for the pump to see how deep it was.

Than i can finalize the 3 Point mount But i also need the Cylindres and the New Drillpress i ordered

the cheapo drillpress motor dies by try to drilling a 20 mm hole so i ordered a bigger one

Because to drill 15mm or even 20mm freehand with the handdrill is not my beloved task.
