 Look very strong and sturdy and I'm sure they are. First thought was stools. But not if they've got tops.

They do resemble children's seats ! 
all I have to do is leave the top off!

it's what the customer wanted!

They're a little uneven on top because there's so much going on with the pieces,

The white color wood is a lot softer than the darker almost the start of dry rot .Was a Challenge to sand.

probably a second coat of poly tomorrow and wrap it up.

I know the feeling. I usually use a clear penetrating epoxy on the rotted soft parts to harden it. Takes a few applications but it does the job.

Would you believe those frames are. 

2x4s from lowes? Ive never worked a 

2x4 this much before. The smell eventually will lead you to pinesol hell!
