Went to an Estate Sale this morning. Walked out with this beauty. I have always made out pretty well turning them over. I already removed some paint splatter that was all over it. Cleaned it inside and out. Waxed it all up. Came out pretty good with not so much effort. I should do well with it.

They are still making these chests and still family owned. Right down the road at 25 miles away

Last one I got was loaded with tools. This one had stuff in it but mostly junk. He worked at Kodak here. Kodak was huge here in its day, not so much anymore. Has some spots towards the bottom. Not sure what it is, looks worse in the pictures then in person. I think the packing and shipping would kill any type of deal I gave you on the chest. I had a pedal car packed and shipped to Tennessee once and it was 350 bucks. This is a big, heavy chest.

another nice find - you've been in a roll !

did not know you were in Rochester - was there around 2013 (?) ... my oldest kid almost went to Eastman School of Music in Rochester

This is the mower blade sharpener I picked up today.

20210723_195348.jpg.e2bc22f13112f1fbf14dff5014f8841f.jpgThe grinding head runs on bearings sat over round bars so its pretty free running.  Its very robust made of cast iron so it was well worth the £85 it cost me.

its a manual machine so no leaving it to do its work, but it will sharpen cylinders and maybe bottom blades with a bit of head scratching.

Not today, but yesterday. Got a package in the mail.  Wheel Horse Collector Club jacket, and sweat shirt. My wife was impressed by both. When it comes to clothes, she is not easily impressed. Wheel Horse hat on order.

Good lookin' kid going to a great school.  UD Flyers have been playing above their weight before Covid hit.  If he ever needs anything like solving a logistics problem that you are too far away from, I will do what i can.

New driveway, sidewalk and porch cap done! Cure time now for 7 days before I park on it…

Broom finish, fiber mesh, six sack concrete for those interested in the details… exactly 30 yards.

My “inspector” made sure the damage to the bamboo was limited…

Just got back from the recycler...  more cleaning out the garages.

Came home with $492.00 today.  $172.00 last weekend.

Copper is way up, $3.25 / lb for #1, $2.95 for #2.

Brass is at $1.70

Electric motors... had 287 pounds of those!  Left over up in the rafters from my FILs heating cooling business back in the 60s.  20 cents a pound for those.  I'll take it!

Not bad pay for cleaning out the junk in the garages!

Got the blade grinder out the car and in the workshop this morning.

Bit of a clean up and the sliders work well. I'll clean the blade holders tomorrow  and see if I can mount a blade in them.

No idea how to set it up yet but I'm sure I will work it out.

I managed to buy another one today!

Got to collect it in the week.

Its a spin grinder, automatic so different to the one I have now.

Looks like I'm going to be doing some learning lol

I wish! Almost every Saturday morning is spent loading someone else's trash that they left in a storage unit just to clear it for someone else to leave their trash in it later....whats the definition of insanity again???

This morning, pressure washed, then wire brushed the peeling paint off the decking retaining wall, above the pond. Later gave it a sealing coat of PVA glue.P1030737.JPG.e407605c3690a39a5ef69733652482ae.JPG

Tomorrow morning it'll get a coat of paint.

Opted for easy to clean pvc, still looking for an appropriately sized under tray.

I did a lot of things today, from getting the 341 running, and the MV 16 up on my test stand, to hanging a swing for my wife. I have very few days where all the stars seem to align, and everything goes as planned. In short, it was a good, but very long, day.
