WHX??

I've gotten into the habit of always deburring copper as thats just how I was taught as an apprentice. Easier these days what with the power methods available. A step bit in a drill motor works well too.

Good thing you ain't charging by the hour as the cost would get way out of hand the way yer going at it! You should be using store bought manifolds and those usually dont' go on till after floor and framing is done and final heat source install. Reverse return is not needed if using them as they have balancing valves and flowmeters built right in as well as a easy way to zone.

Simple design & layouts just get these.

Yeah, this is a freebie for the FIL Jim.  I’m sure he’ll get me back some day :ROTF:

They want to be able to pressure test before and during concrete pour, so I’ll toss this on and run a line out the window with a gauge.

Pressure test = absolutely! We label all the ends per zone and then just tie it all together with crimp fittings plug on one tail and pressure gauge  and shrader valve on the other. Tie every up on a rebar frame to keep it out of the concrete. Take lots of pics of the layout for future reference if needed. We been using these for a professional look but were using  the conduit ells for years when we knew no better. .

Took Uncle Jim’s advice and put a chamfer bit in my drill.  Manifold test system is all assembled for indoors.  I’ll toss the outside system together and be good to go.

Your talking to an old school Plumber here. Always ream copper tube after cutting. I have not done much radiant. Did a 6500 square foot home and a few others but needed extra sets of hands that were not always around. Did a house with Weil-McLain cast iron baseboard with the reverse piping system and that was some serious work. House was a concrete slab with sleepers and then all oak hardwood floors, your stub ups better be precise, can't cut CI baseboard like copper fin tube. I will admit I am not a radiant heat specialist, cast iron baseboard heat in our home and 2 cast iron woodstoves for backup, 1 in the living room and 1 in the basement to keep the floors warm, sort of like radiant but without all the piping and controls etc. By the way, nice work.

Well, a few days ago I went to my local park to remove the seating from a basketball court which is constantly being vandalised.

Its made of weld mesh panels and i cut them out with a disc grinder.

We used the panels to reinforce a section of fence youths have damaged.

Over night the steel panels mysteriously found their way back to the seats, rebuilt by the teenage vandals responsible for the seats being removed in the first place.

So I had to remove them permanently today and cart the steel back home.

The yoofs were most annoyed as this was their space we were dissing. Funny I thought we paid for it through our taxes. And its a play area for small children to use  not for teens to hang out, do drugs and fumble in each others underwear.  But anyway, yoofs threatening me with violence 20200807_082408.jpg.8919f8236e9e37103ae727aaac6dfb68.jpgapart I now have a lot of weldmesh and steel bar to play with.

I also have a nice new John Deere ride on mower gifted to our community group from the park group in thanks for the work on the play area.

I used a wad of copper and some paracord to string the manifold up.  Now, I can make my pex connections and keep it all close to right.

I can't quite see Europe from here. I'm sure it's close.

I do a Wink, did you see it Buddy?

Drove back from south Wales today from meeting the new found section of SWMBO's family. Brought a new project home. Just fitted in the back of the car.  38yrs old and the last 20 buried in the back of a farm shed.

Two things Norm...

One, its not red!

And B, it appears to be deficient in the sum of two wheels.

In short, and not to put too fine a point on it, That ain't no tractor!

Your very observant for a Yorkshireman, Mick. :D

Motorcycles are in my blood. From riding pillion with my father from the age of eight, up to nine years ago, there's always been one around. :auto-dirtbike:

Its one vehicle I've never driven, never.

I've had a go in diggers, dozers, garbage compactors but I have never sat astride a motorbike let alone ridden one.

I was a pedal cycle patrol officer in Sheffield for a few years trained to the international police mountain bike standard so im no stranger to two wheels. But two wheels and an engine have never appealed to me for some reason.

Maybe it was the slide show we were treated to at school when I was 14, showing the mortal remains of large number of ex-motorcyclists who had come to grief on two wheels. Everything from legs snapped off to heads in pieces told me these things were dangerous. I was sick for days after and have a real phobia of motorbikes as a result.

Maybe in this day and age I would claim PTSD and child abuse lol.

D_Mac

Had my doctors appointment today. I was getting my results from the 2 CT scans I had done last week. Last year I was diagnosed with Pancreatic and Throat Cancer. Had my surgeries and treatments. One year has passed now and time to see how I am doing. The CT scans I had last week were on my abdomen and chest. I still need to go for ones to my throat and head area. Todays results were good. Abdomen is showing no signs of the cancer and my chest and lungs are showing improvements. My lungs were damaged from Pulmonary Embolisms I developed while I was in the hospital. They want a PET scan in 6 more months. I have to meet with my radiologist and my throat surgeon and make the appointments to check on my throat. No one was seeing patients during the Corona shut down but are now. So I will take this good news and keep my fingers crossed for the next step. My throat still bothers me daily. I would rather go through what they did to my stomach 100 times over then one more time of what was done to my throat. Stay Healthy Everyone !!! Dont take good health for granted !!

If it’s not your first rodeo with in floor heat disregard. Just a suggestion make sure those lines aren’t too close to the toilet flange.  You don’t want to be melting the wax ring
