Painted up the Boss 9’2” V plow today, the last step before placing it up for sale.  Rylee got into the rest of the paint and spruced up the chicken coop a tad.

Our sunflowers are towering too, something w e didn’t quite expect to get so tall!

Rylee helped / learned how to change a tube and fuel line on the dirt bike and rode ‘til dark tonight.  No fun to be had here at Pullstart Stables!

Hope her mechanical skills are better than her painting  :ychain:

I bought another mower. Somebody stop me!  :confusion-helpsign:

Its a honda engined commercial unit but the alloy deck is shot.

I'll have a good look at whether its a fixer up or a parts donor.20200728_070149.jpg.4ec435ef2b4f1abcb90e44be85f8c74c.jpg

She almost got some paint on the window frames. You really should give her a smaller brush than a 4 inch one! :ROTF:

Messed around with my '56 Copar Panzer today. 20200728_134315.jpg.e33475869b7dc9ca3161b5707ffca700.jpgTrying out a set of W-H round hood fenders for size.20200728_120017.jpg.e40a0317e8cc9c104f3f9942b9247089.jpg

With a little modification, I'm thinking they just might work.20200728_160328.jpg.9ce10e2bcb9760abbca83b8995291ce3.jpg

@stevasaurus

I have had as many as 11 bikes in the past.

Down to maybe 8? Now..

Newest one is probably 20 years young. That's a nice aluminum Trek.

I bought a Shogun Mountain bike in April of 1989.

Still have it.

@AMC RULES what's to be done?

Maybe widen them a hair?

Look like a good fit.

Just fab up some axle mounts for each individual fender, or fab up a deeper, wider under seat tool box to keep from hacking up the round hood original.

Poop runs down hill!

The inspection passed on my FIL’s new construction drains.  Time to bury the pipes!

Looking good Kev.

Cut some trees on the community land ready to do some culvert repairs with our local council.

Also met Dan.gerous from Red Square who very generously dropped off a couple of worn out cutting decks for me to repair for my little Red Fred.

This will be a nice project for when the brothers bathroom is done.

Steve, did you sail from Waukegan? Looks like good weather today.

No water around here so this year I signed up for a Community Supported Fishery from Sitka, AK. Should get my first share in about four weeks..

John, we have been pulling out of North Point Marina just North of Waukegan .  Waukegan Harbor has slowly been pushing the little guy fisherman out.  North Point is still in Illinois just south of the Wisconsin line.  :occasion-xmas:

Another mower joined the stable today, a Hyundai self propelled, electric start job.

Brand new, very little use, clean as a whistle, BUT I think the con rod has snapped. Blade turns the fan pulley but jams up so i think its something serious.

The previous owner decided to try and diagnose the problem but got stuck so sold a £350 mower for £50.

If I can get the parts, I can make it run.

Having a problem posting pictures, always seem to be too big no matter how I resize them.???

So the hyundai engine has a shattered big end bearing,  the cap is in two pieces and the con rod part has broken in two.

There's no damage to the blade to suggest that it hit a rock.

It looks like the bolts came loose, no locking tabs, wire or even signs of thread lock compound

If I can get a new con rod I think it will repair OK.  Just a small hole in the crank case that JB Weld will sort in no time.

I just can't understand why the owner didn't just go back to the seller, its hardly dirty never mind worn.

Im chatting to hyundai about parts now so I'll see what they say.

If it costs too much to repair I will break it for parts to sell.

I think most rod bolts have no locking of any sort, they just depend on the bolt stretch (torque).

I did well at a yard sale a few years ago, I bought a like new self-propelled Toro mower with hardly a grass stain underneath for about 20% of list price.  The seller said it pushed real hard, thus the reason for selling.  When I got it home, I added the missing screw and all is well.

changing tube on a dirt bike can be a challenge - especially the 19" rears with low pro tire

good tire irons / spoons are a plus !

Been without my laptop since last week. Had a couple of power cuts that somehow sent it haywire. Needed a new battery also. Got it back this morning. :) Got some catching up to do.

Must have been the hottest day of the year today. 32c = 90f as near as damn it. Crazy weather. Rained nearly all day yesterday. Been the wettest July I can remember.

Mowed green and verges this afternoon with the C125 and then a quick spin over with the Sears/Roper and lawn sweeper. Removed cutter deck and cleaned it off, then blew down the C125.

Finally a nice refreshing shower. :handgestures-thumbupright:

Youngest daughter, granddaughter and number 4 grandson turned up mid-afternoon. I've not seen them for two months. Nice to have a social distancing chat and watch the youngsters and dog chase each other round the green.

My uncle took a wrong step getting on his wave runner a few days ago and broke his ankle and fractured his knee.  While he was in surgery today, I started on a ramp for him.

Luckily, my stack up to draw my cut in for the ramp piece worked right the first time!
