Just curious has anyone ever installed a 20+HP Vanguard in a c-120 just wondering what modification is needed?

Not a 20 but a 16. Looking at the 20 it is about an 1/2" taller. One issue was the muffler.  Also, I had to install raised mounts 1" to get the center of the shaft lined up with the drive belt track / geometry.

The pic is an older vanguard with tall/round air filter but the newer ones are flat and may fit under the hood but might be tight.? Need a PTO that fits a 1" shaft, or adapter.

The 16 I installed is on my sons machine and it has plenty of juice. Runs the 48" deck with ease. Quiet too.

just some fuel for thought.

I have a 18 HP Vanguard in a C-120. There isn't any room to spare, but it will go in there. To get the PTO in the same place you need to raise the engine 3/4".
